HOD Message

On behalf of all our faculty, staff and students, I would like to welcome you to the Civil Engineering Department at Netaji Subhas Institute of Polytechnic.

As a Head of the department, I am extremely proud of our role in providing high quality education and hands-on experience to our students. Right from its inception in 2016, the Civil Engineering Department has earned tremendous reputation for qualitative teaching-learning process, meaningful teacher-student interactions, state-of-the-art laboratories and well qualified faculty; positively contributing to the community through teaching, research and consultancy activities.

With a well-planned mission and untiring efforts of our highly committed faculty, staff and students, the department is striving hard to achieve its vision of becoming a center of excellence in the field of technical education and research. Our department is constantly working towards all-round skill development of our students by organizing guest lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences and career service events facilitated by national and international experts.

To become a school of excellence that brings out civil engineers with high technical competencies and promotes research to meet the current and future challenges in civil engineering.

Mission

M-1:- Provide quality knowledge and advance skills to the students in order to expertise theoretically and practically in the areas of civil engineering.

M-2:- To impart knowledge and activities to students with emphasis in developing the leadership qualities and teamwork.

M-2:- To encourage students to pursue higher education, take competitive exams and industry career with required training.

Program Educational Objective (PEO)

PEO01:- Acquire basic knowledge and expertise necessary for professional practice in Civil Engineering for higher studies and research.

PEO02:- Students will be accomplished with fundamental knowledge of engineering, science, technological competencies and quantitative reasoning.

PEO03:- Provide students and faculty with opportunities to create, disseminate and apply knowledge by maintaining a state of the art research.

PEO04:- To be suited to work as part of a team or to involve in entrepreneurship activities.

Program Specific Outcome (PSO)

PSO01:- To plan for collection of data, prepare design, drawings and estimate using advance technology.

PSO01:- To inculcate supervisory and middle level skills for managing construction and maintenance of Civil Engineering structures.
